A three-quarter length mechanic's raincoat from 100%, the moto and MTB brand, built in EVA rather than a technical laminate. Different tool entirely: this is coverage and wipe-clean, made for standing around in weather rather than moving fast through it.
Why EVA, and when you want it
EVA is a closed-cell material — the rain does not get through because there is nothing for it to get through, no membrane to wet out and no DWR to wear off and need reproofing. The trade is breathability: it does not have much. Which is exactly right for a pit lane, a car park, a tailgate or a dawn patrol where you are waiting rather than working hard, and wrong for anything aerobic.
It also wipes clean, which is why it exists as a mechanic's coat. Chain lube, two-stroke, wax, coffee — none of it soaks in.
