Everyone calls Alice in Chains' 1995 self-titled album Tripod, after the three-legged dog on its cover. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell had Rocky Schenck's photograph of the dog in hand and chose instead to print a fax of it, because the faxed version looked grittier β and the degraded fax is exactly what sits on the front of this shirt, the band name stencilled down the side of it. The back puts the same dog in a yellow disc over the full running order, 1995 at the head of the list: Grind, Brush Away, Sludge Factory, on down to Over Now. Track-list backs were the standard grammar of 90s album merch, borrowed from tour tees. This one is the odd case, because the tour never came β Staley's addiction kept the band off the road, and a record that entered the Billboard 200 at number one got only televised one-offs. A set list for shows nobody played.
Vintage Alice in Chains t-shirt featuring a black and white graphic on the front and a bold yellow circle design on the back with "Alice in Chains" in yellow script alongside a full song list. Classic 90s grunge band tee.
