The oval badge at the waist reads stylus under the ANSWER RACING chevron, which names the pant: Stylus was the line Answer put on its race gear from 1996 through the end of the decade. Everything else is the era arguing that a rider is a moving billboard β ANSWER in fat white graffiti caps on both thighs, a yellow A roundel over each knee, purple lower legs under grey knee panels, the name ghosted in purple down both outer legs, and MOTO / GEAR split in yellow across the seat so the rider being passed gets the message. Answer arrived at clothing sideways. Eddie Cole, a former Kawasaki and Bultaco factory rider, and his partner Fred Hoblit started the company in Valencia, California in 1976 to make chromoly handlebars and hard parts, and did not sell a jersey or a pant until 1982. Within a few seasons Bob Hannah, Mark Barnett, Johnny O'Mara and Micky Dymond were racing in it, and the handlebar company had turned into a style house.
Vintage Answer Racing motocross pants. White ANSWER graffiti logos on blue patches on the thighs, a yellow A roundel over each knee, purple lower legs, grey knee panels, ANSWER across the back yoke.
