The Fin
Barrett Miller's Swallow — a wide-based single fin that narrows fast through the top third, for drive and hard carving on a mid-length.
Sold as a single fin in solid fiberglass for a standard longboard box, in 7.75" and 8.25", smoke. The base is wide where it counts and the outline pulls in quickly above it, so most of the area sits low. A 50/50 foil, the classic centre-box section. The narrow top third carries a bit of flex, and that is what keeps a fin with this much base from feeling locked to its line: plenty of drive, still free from rail to rail.
How that reads
Area low and forward is drive — lean on the back foot and the board goes rather than slides. The quick taper above takes load off the tip, so the fin gives slightly and releases at the top of the turn instead of holding all the way through, which is where the freedom comes from. What you feel is a hard-carving single fin: quick to load up, quick to let go, with real projection out the other side.
Who it suits
Mid-lengths with a centre box, ridden with some intent — the fin for a surfer who wants to carve a single fin rather than trim it. The 8.25" is the standard version; the 7.75" takes area out for a lighter surfer or a shorter board and loosens the tail further.

Our take
If you're on a swallowtail mid-length in the 7'0"–7'6" range — Miller's own Swallow shape or anything in that family — this fin was drawn for exactly that. It's carving-forward: keep it in eggy single-fin territory and it performs exactly as described, but it wasn't designed for hanging toes.
