The Fantastic Acid PMH is the go to flex fin for Tristan Mausse of Fantastic Acid Surfboards.
A narrow base and low-drag outline built for convex-bottom boards, with enough rake and flex to bury a rail through a deep bottom turn and project out of it.
On a displacement hull or convex-bottom single fin it wants to be leaned over hard, holding through a deep bottom turn and projecting out the top, with effortless trim down the line. It rewards a surfer who draws long lines off rail — and it wants a board that already has speed.
The Fantastic Acid PMH is Tristan Mausse's flex single fin for his Fantastic Acid displacement hulls, made by True Ames in a Volan fiberglass layup. It comes in one size, 9.9 inches, with a narrow base and low-drag outline designed for hull and convex-bottom single-fin boards.
Both are drivey flex singles, but the Stage-6 covers a broad size range for many boards while the PMH is the narrow-base, low-drag specialist for hulls.
The review recommends the 4A's wider base for boards that need help waking up in soft surf, where the PMH wants a board that already has speed.
