The Details
Fox Racing's entry-level motocross helmet, stocked in S through XL.
The V1 Solid is the base helmet in Fox Racing's moto line, sitting under the V3 and V3 RS. Fox lists the V1 materials as EPS, ABS and polyester; this one has a multi-density EPS liner, four intake and exhaust vents, and a comfort liner and cheek pads that come out to be washed. An adjustable visor and a steel D-ring chin strap closure finish it. DOT certified, in sizes S, M, L and XL.

DOT certified. The structure is an ABS shell over a multi-density EPS liner, with four intake and exhaust vents moving air through it. That is the certification the packet records — read the label inside the helmet that arrives before entering anything run to a specific standard.
Fit
Fox says the V1 shares a head form with the V3 and V3 RS, so a size that fits one fits the others. The comfort liner and cheek pads are removable and washable, which is also how a slightly loose fit gets taken up. Sizes S, M, L and XL.
