Todd Pinder, of Todd Pinder Surfboards, brings decades of experience to his craft and understands the crucial role that fins play in both board performance and the surfer's experience.
Built to add forward push across a range of fuller outlines rather than to pivot tight or flex through a turn — the wide base feeds drive while the stiff, narrow tip keeps the fin from washing out or springing.
Put it on an egg, mid-length, or glider you want to feel like it's always going somewhere — steady push, planted lines, drive off the bottom. It's the wrong tool if you're chasing a loose, springy flex feel; that's the McTavish Rincon's job.
The Pinder Low Egg is a single fin designed by Todd Pinder and made by True Ames in solid fiberglass, offered in two sizes. The template runs a relatively wide base tapering to a narrow tip with minimal flex. It is intended for eggs, mid-lengths, and gliders, with the larger size suiting fuller or bigger boards and the smaller size suiting smaller ones.
