With a wide base and generous tip, the Troy Elmore Pivot provides ample surface area to lock in when on the nose.
It pins the tail when you walk forward, but it is not a planky anchor: the rake lets it come around for swooping turns and abrupt cutbacks off the tail.
Put it on a traditional or all-around log you ride in knee-to-chest surf when you want to walk to the nose and still throw a turn on the way back. For maximum planted hold step up to the Velzy Noserider; for a volan body with more flex and projection, the Tappy 1.
The Troy Elmore Pivot is a longboard single fin designed by Troy Elmore with noseriding as the primary objective, made by True Ames in solid fiberglass in a 10.0 inch size. The template has a wide base and a generous tip, with somewhat less area than a traditional pivot fin, added rake, and a precision foil. It is intended for traditional and all-around logs in knee-to-chest-high surf.
