The quad for a wide, flat-planshape board that feels stuck on a standard quad -- keel-style drive from the oversized fronts with rears trimmed so the tail still comes around. If you'd rather have two-fin drift and looseness on a fuller board, run a twin instead.
The Valaric Quad is a four-fin set designed by Jordan Brazie of Valaric Surfboards and made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with Futures-compatible bases. The setup pairs a slightly oversized front template with smaller-than-usual rears, drawn from a split-keel concept. Brazie engineered it for his own wider-tail models, including the Sea Speeder, Oscillator, and Star Cruiser.
