The Valaric Twinzer fins, designed by the east coast maestro Jordan Brazie are well suited for mid-length boards and solid surf.
The Valaric Twinzer fins, designed by the east coast maestro Jordan Brazie are well suited for mid-length boards and solid surf. The rear hybrid style twin is great for generating power and smooth turns, while the front canards add that extra bit of bite. The overall setup should should provide the feeling and looseness of a twin, but will also have the maneuverability sometimes lacking in a two fin setup. Here are some design notes from Jordan.... "The Valaric Twinzer expands on the Libra Twin, crafted for Valaric models that embrace the versatile and high-performance Twinzer design. Originally tested on the Oscillator and Phoenix, this fin has proven itself in both speed and maneuverability, seamlessly blending control with effortless flow. Now, with its success, it’s moving into the Ranger and Bangarang, continuing to elevate the Twinzer experience across the lineup. Designed for powerful drive, quick transitions, and smooth style, the Valaric Twinzer is the perfect choice for those looking to push their surfing further." Please choose ythe canard angles appropriately. 0* angle fins are meant for boards that already have the cant built into ythe FCS plugs. Front fins - single tab FCS, flat inside foil, available in 0* / 4* / 9* Rear fins - 3/4" Futures base, 6* angle, flat inside foil Solid fiberglass construction, raw sanded finish
The same main template as the Libra Twin, with a refined canard fin for added control and refinement in critical surf.
This is the set for a Twinzer-configured board when you want twin-fin speed with the rail hold to push hard in steep, critical surf. It's a matched system, not a pair of drop-in side bites — and if maximum looseness on a standard twin is the goal, skip the canards and run a straight twin.
The Valaric Twinzer is designed by Jordan Brazie of Valaric Surfboards and made by True Ames as an FCS and Futures compatible set in solid fiberglass. It pairs a main twin template — the same as Brazie's Libra Twin — with a smaller, refined canard that sits forward of and outside each main fin. The set is a matched system intended for boards with boxes set up for a Twinzer configuration, primarily from Brazie's own lineup.
The review contrasts them as pure twin-fin drift and glide on a fuller board, where the Valaric Twinzer trades freedom for hold and precision in steeper surf.
The Twinzer's main fins share the Libra Twin template, adding the canard for control in critical surf.
