As one of the newest offerings, the Wayne Rich Twins slot nicely into the lineup as a full-size set that will offer plenty of drive, control, and fluidity through big carves. The generobase and large amount of area is great for harnessing power while the more slender tip will still allow for release and maneuverability. These fins love to drive hard off the bottom and can handle some good size surf. If you're looking for a twin + trailer, then be sure to check the the optional Wayne Rich Trailer Offering that you can add to this twin set...
(Twin-Fin Set) Futures Compatible, 70/30 Foil
The generous base and large area harness power and drive so the board doesn't feel gutless coming off the bottom, while the more slender tip still lets the tail release and the board stay maneuverable.
Run these on a twin-fin shape when you want fast, fluid, big-carve surfing: they hold a line through a big drawn-out turn but you can still throw the tail and redirect rather than feeling locked in. If the board gets too loose when the wave stands up, drop the Wayne Rich Trailer into the center box; if you want tighter pocket control and hold, three fins like the Tyler Warren Tri are the better direction.
The Wayne Rich Twins are a full-size twin set made by True Ames in solid fiberglass with a 70/30 foil, sold as a Futures-compatible pair. The template has a generous base and large area with a more slender tip, and it is intended for twin-fin surfboard shapes, with an optional matching Wayne Rich Trailer for boards with a center box.
The Warren Tri keeps three fins in the water for tighter pocket control and tube hold, where the Wayne Rich Twins are looser and faster with a more drifty, glide-forward feel.
The matching trailer drops into the center box to settle the tail when the twins feel too loose in steeper surf.
