Slightly more upright than the standard side bites, these side bites have a bit thinner tip area with some more relief through the trailing edge which is designed for precision turns and top-notch performance. By adding these side bites to ythe center fin, you will experience increased stability and also provide added lift & projection. The 3.4" WR Side Bites are great for smaller riders, smaller board setups, or a slightly more loose feeling. These 4.0" WR Side Bites work well for larger riders, bigger boards, bigger waves, and provide added hold & control.
(2 Fin Set) Futures Compatible - Solid Fiberglass
Slightly more upright than a standard side bite, with a thinner tip and some relief through the trailing edge — they turn with precision rather than just adding drag, gripping the rail hard when the board is leaned over.
Run these with a dropped-down center fin on a performance longboard or mid-length 2+1 when you're a bigger rider or surfing bigger waves and want maximum rail hold — ideally paired with the Power Tilt center they were designed around. If you want a looser feel or you're on a smaller board, go with the 3.4" Wayne Rich Side Bites instead.
Wayne Rich's 4.0" side bites are sold as a Futures-compatible pair in solid fiberglass, made by True Ames. Rich designed them to complement his Power Tilt center fin, though they pair with most 2+1 center fins. The template runs slightly more upright than a standard side bite, with a thinner tip and relief through the trailing edge, and the 4.0" size targets larger riders, bigger boards, and bigger waves; a smaller 3.4" size is also offered.
